Collaborating on Markers

[!abstract] What You'll Learn All markers in Unicorn Trails are visible to your entire group. This tutorial covers editing, soft-deleting, restoring, and moving markers.

How Collaboration Works

Unicorn Trails uses group-scoped markers — every marker created by any member of your group is visible to everyone in the group. There are no per-marker sharing settings.

[!tip] Everyone in your group can see all markers. You can edit any marker created by any group member, and they can edit yours.

Edit a Marker

  1. Open a marker's detail modal and click Edit.
  2. The form opens pre-filled. Modify title, date, rating, description, or images.
  3. Save Changes.

[!note] Unsaved changes If you try to close the form with unsaved changes, a warning dialog will appear.

Move a Marker

  1. Open the marker's detail modal and click Move.
  2. The marker becomes draggable on the map — other markers fade to help you focus.
  3. A Move Action Bar appears at the bottom. Drag the marker to its new position.
  4. Click Confirm to save, or Cancel to revert.

[!tip] Precision Zoom in before dragging for more precise placement.

Delete a Marker

Open the marker's detail modal and click Delete, then confirm.

Markers are soft-deleted (like most data in Unicorn Trails). They disappear from the map and move to the Trash section in the sidebar. Images remain stored and can be reused if restored.

Restore a Deleted Marker

In the sidebar, toggle Trash to show deleted markers, then click Restore on the item you want back.

[!note] Deleted markers show a countdown until permanent deletion (if configured).

Search and Filter

Use the search bar in the sidebar to find markers by title. The search filters both active and deleted markers server-side.
